Friday Drop In

Friday Drop In

The hub is open for young people to drop in after school on Friday afternoons. These do not follow any formal agenda and the young people can interact and socialise with their friends in a safe and welcoming environment. The Hub is a flexible space with a fully operational semi-professional kitchen, a full-size American pool table, table football, Xbox console with a ‘monstrous’ tv and numerous board games the young people are free to use as they wish.

During these Friday drop-in sessions, there is a capable team of young volunteers who prepare a range of tasty treats for the young people to devour. We run this as a small social enterprise within KYTHE where the young people stock up and maintain the kitchen, affectionately known as “Jack’s Bar”.

KYTHE Drop In

"What a difference in him over this last year or so and you guys at KYTHE have played a huge part in that. You’ve gave him space to just be him which he was desperately needing." (Parent)

“I like drop in because you get to talk to people you haven’t talked to before and make new friends.”

I like drop in because I get to see my second family, which is KYTHE.”

“You can talk to loads of people and play pool whenever you want, and get lots of food!”

“You get to hang out with friends, and meet new people and just chill out.”
