I’ve been involved with KYTHE from its beginning and saw the inclusion of young people as a wonderful way to make them feel cared for, wanted and loved. It’s been great to see the growth of the Hub with kitchen, office, band and activities!

After 45 years in nursing, latterly as a Staff Nurse at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline, I found it hard to retire! However, having kept KYTHE close to me with prayer, I was asked last year if I could be the Lead Prayer Advocate. It was a huge ask to continue what Ewan and Ginni had started, but I have so much support and encouragement from them and all the team. It’s a wonderful privilege to keep KYTHE in prayer and support others to do so.

My joys apart from Bill, Vasco (the dog) and our family are singing, reading, crafts, choir, church and our caravan on the Fife Coast … so if not in Kinross can be found dookin’ with my friends in Shell Bay or walking the coastal path!

Charlotte Cremers

Management Committee member

Charlotte joined the KYTHE team through the Cranfield Trust as a management consultant.  Working closely with the management team and the Trustees, she has helped to create clarity within KYTHE to enable the organisation’s growth, to allow KYTHE to reach and impact more young people. Charlotte is based in Sheffield, so works with KYTHE remotely most of the time.

Day to day, Charlotte works for the University of Sheffield as Head of International Alumni Relations. She is a trustee for the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and has numerous hobbies ranging from tennis, running and spending time outdoors to baking and painting.

Liz Logan

Management Committee member and Lead for Fundraising

Liz joined KYTHE as the Fundraising Lead, after previously working in events and exhibitions at the SEC in Glasgow and in London. Liz was born in Brighton and now lives in the village of Muckhart with her husband and two children.

Liz’s role is to work with Trusts and Foundations to secure vital funding for KYTHE and to get exciting projects funded in areas such as art, music and health & wellbeing. Liz said ‘I love working with the youth workers to hear their idea for a project and getting that message across to funders. The best part is seeing the positive impact of the project and how that directly supports young people in Kinross-shire’. Liz is also responsible for fundraising events and is proud to be a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Cara Chalmers

Management Committee member and lead for People & Development

Cara has been part of KYTHE since its very early days and currently serves on the management committee as lead for people and development, a role which includes recruitment and support of staff and development of organisational policies and procedures.

Cara works full-time as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist in the NHS. She has been involved in children’s work and safeguarding at Orwell and Portmoak Parish Church (now Kinross-shire Parish Church) for many years and brings her knowledge and experience of leadership in both roles to KYTHE, as well as her passion for encouraging young people and supporting them to reach their potential.

In any spare time she has, Cara loves cinema trips, seeking out great coffee shops, listening to country music and dabbling in crafty things. She can also regularly be found strolling the length and breadth of Kinross-shire to keep active and throwing herself into her new passion, weight training!

Fiona Eastop

Management Committee member and lead for Marketing & Communications

Since joining KYTHE in 2017, Fiona has been a member of the management committee with a focus on marketing and communications, such as newsletters, clothing and merchandise. She has seen the work of KYTHE grow with increasing numbers of young people engaging with an increasing variety of groups and activities.
When not working as a pharmacist for NHS Fife, Fiona is a keen photographer and can be seen running around Kinross trying to keep fit!

Stephen Hutt

Trustee

Stephen has recently joined KYTHE as a trustee. By profession an accountant, he has worked in industry all of his career as well as holding non-executive roles in charities and commercial enterprises. Stephen has been a volunteer in youth work for over the last 30 years and is convinced of the power of the gospel to transform lives – at any age.

Stephen worships at the Perth Gospel Hall and has been a Christian since his late teens (a fairly long time ago now!) and lives just outside of Milnathort with his wife, Marion, and has two adult daughters. Stephen enjoys walking his two dogs, and when the opportunity allows, he enjoys travelling, and visiting family.

Lynn Caldwell

Trustee and Chair of Management Committee, Lead for Vision & Growth

Lynn is a trustee and chair of the management committee member. As a Maths teacher at Kinross High School, Lynn could be forgiven for heading home after a day of teaching young people. However, she dedicates her Monday afternoons to leading the Maths study group at the Hub. During last summer, Lynn was on the road with KYTHE mobile and eagerly awaits the day when KYTHE has its own mobile/campervan.

Lynn loves singing, always has fabulous nails and walks her dog, Jake, regularly in and around Kinross.

Sue Packham

Trustee

Sue was introduced to KYTHE through volunteering, something which she loves and continues to do. Having had a career in the NHS working with children, young people and families in the community, Sue has a special interest and experience in health and wellbeing. Sue recently became a Trustee for KYTHE.

Family is important to Sue as is her furry friend Alfie (the golden retriever) and she loves nothing better than messing about with arts & crafts.

Annika Roberts

Management Committee member and Lead for Finance

Annika has been with KYTHE pretty much from the start. As a Chartered Accountant her comfort zone is the numbers. As part of the management committee she’s helped in fundraising over the years and has recently taken on the charity’s book-keeping.

Her other comfort zone is on the golf course having recently taken up the game during lockdown!

Alison Gardner

Trustee

Alison has recently joined KYTHE as a Trustee and is looking forward to becoming involved in this dynamic organisation for young people. With a background in law, Alison was involved for many years in Sunday School work, Church holiday clubs and a youth club/cafe.

She loves music, coffee, being on ‘Granny duty’, and keeps her daily step count up whilst walking her beloved black lab puppy!

Jaffrey Weir

Convenor of Trustees, Lead for Stakeholder Engagement

Jaffrey has been with KYTHE almost from the start, or as he puts it “for as long as I can remember”. Initially a trustee, Jaffrey is convenor of the Trustees group. As a financial advisor, Jaffrey sees the big picture and is always promoting KYTHE, seeking to engage others with KYTHE and on the look-out for new connections and opportunities for KYTHE. Jaffrey is excited about the work of KYTHE and how it is transforming young lives, and those that know him, know that he will speak at length about it.
Jaffrey loves a project, be it gardening or home-improvement, and he and his wife Kathleen have a cat, Daisy.
